Based at New Greenham Park, the Thames Valley Enterprise Hub assists local entrepreneurs, companies and researchers to commercialise their ideas, experience and knowledge to build efficient and successful businesses.

The Newbury Enterprise Hub was established by Greenham Common Trust in 2002 as a joint venture with SEEDA (South East England Development Agency), with the aim of nurturing and supporting young, high growth, high technology businesses and providing practical help to aid business growth. In 2007 the Newbury Enterprise Hub merged with other hubs in the SEEDA network to become part of the Thames Valley Enterprise Hub

The Enterprise Hubs provide a business incubation network which:

Enables businesses to learn from and do business with each other, collaborating on key strategic projects
Identifies the right sources of finance and links these with investment ready companies
Ensures young and growing companies have access to flexible premises to support successive stages of development
Links these companies to the business advice, mentoring and training they need to ensure they develop the management capability to succeed
Organises regular networking events for entrepreneurs and SME‘s

The specific aims of the Enterprise Hub:

To support new and small businesses specialising in IT, telecommunications and advanced engineering
To promote a culture of entrepreneurship, targeting science, engineering, technology and business entrepreneurs
To provide a regional centre of excellence for rapid prototyping and e-commerce
To provide business support and promote training networks
To provide a nurturing "incubator" environment for start-up businesses
To work with the universities of Oxford, Reading, Southampton and Portsmouth to introduce academic research forums, on-line mentors, undergraduate & post graduate collaborative projects and R&D partnerships
