DTI Research and Development funding
The DTI regularly put out calls for bids for significant levels of Research and Development funding.
Here is the latest Autumn call.
To access this funding smaller companies will almost certainly need larger partner organizations as the DTI look for this leverage as a means of trying to ensure successful projects. The admin burden will also not be light!
Technology Priority Areas for the Autumn 2006 Competition
- Innovation Platforms: Intelligent Transport Systems and Services £7m
- Innovation Platforms: Network Security £5m
- Moving towards zero emission enterprise: A challenge to business to reduce their diverse negative environmental inputs £10m
- Emerging energy technologies: Low carbon energy technologies £8m
- Bioscience and healthcare: Technologies for development and manufacture of biopharmacueticals £7.5m
- Sensors and imaging for medical, security and environmental applications £7.5m
- Plastic electronics: Novel materials, deposition and patterning techniques £5m
