HubCAP

Hub Commercialisation Action Plan (HubCAP)

The biggest challenge facing any entrepreneur is turning ideas into a successful enterprise. Apart from the many potential pitfalls that face all early stage companies, entrepreneurs in the high-tech or knowledge based sectors rarely have enough time to devote to the commercial aspects of business.  The Hub Commercialisation Action Plan (HubCAP) can help.  Using a structured methodology, HubCAP offers you guidance and support throughout the commercialisation process.

How it works

HubCAP provides a framework that supports both budding entrepreneurs and established businesses.  The system works by breaking down the process of commercialisation into a number of distinct phases: concept, investigation, feasibility, development, launch to market, and growth.  Each stage gives the business the opportunity to assess the likely risks and returns of proceeding further.  Features and benefits of the methodology include:

  • Over half a day, an Enterprise Hub Director can tease out the gaps, information and project shortfalls; crystallise the potential sales benefits and build a composite picture of timescales and financials.
  • The process is non-confrontational and involves answering a series of questions
  • The output includes a prioritised list of actions and an embryonic business case presentation.
