Norma Products Agrees 40,000 Sq Ft Pre-Let

Norma Products Limited, the Newbury based manufacturer and distributor of hose clamps, pipe connections and retaining products, has agreed to take a pre-let on a 40,000 sq ft (3,716 sq m) warehouse, factory and office property at New Greenham Park, Newbury.

The new property, which will be ready for occupation in Summer 2006, will include approximately 7,000 sq ft (650 sq m) of office accommodation on two floors.

Norma Products, a subsidiary of Rasmussen GMBH of Germany, has agreed to take a 15-year lease with a tenant’s option to break at the end of the tenth-year. The lease includes the option to extend the property by a further 10,000 sq ft (929 sq m).

Mike Lawrence, managing director of Norma Products, said: “The new premises will provide improved working conditions within the Newbury area for our employees and the prestigious site on the A339 will create an enhanced company image with our customers.”

Paul Craggs, estate manager of New Greenham Park, commented: “This transaction confirms New Greenham Park as one of the most important business locations in the area as it offers companies a rare opportunity, in West Berkshire and north Hampshire, to acquire a building that has been designed to suit the specific occupational demands of their business.”

Paul Richardson of Dreweatt Neate, who advised the landlord, Greenham Common Trust, added: “Market demand for high quality manufacturing and distribution property remains strong. This transaction will provide Norma Products with a purpose built facility without the need for relocating away from Newbury.”
