Investment readiness

Get ready for investment with Thames Valley Enterprise Hub

Enterprise Hubs, with their partner organisation Finance South East, offer an investment readiness programme to Hub portfolio companies.  The aim of this programme is to maximise a company’s chances of receiving investment.  The investment could be from a variety of sources including: Venture Capital, Business Angels, Bank loans, partner company deals, licence deals, etc.

The programme is a proven method of ensuring that your business is ready for the process of investment and that you are able to prepare and present a thorough and winning case for that investment to investors.  Underpinning this process is the commitment of your Enterprise Hub Director to ensure that your business is properly prepared across the three core business strands of product, market, and business.  Our other Hub services and products complement this programme.

The programme is time limited to six-months, throughout which there will be regular ongoing contact with your Hub director to refine and develop your business proposition and plan, which will include the following:

  • Written assessment of business plan
  • A meeting with FSE and your Hub Director to review your plan.
  • A mutually agreed action plan will be developed to ensure key issues are identified and actioned
  • Regular feedback and coordination to ensure the action plan is implemented
  • Presentation of your proposal to an independent expert panel, which will include investors/sector experts as appropriate.  This is an extremely valuable feedback mechanism as the ability to “pitch” your proposition is crucial.

Having gone through the above process your company will be ready for investment and will be formally graduated from the programme.
